On June 12, ISS Senior Secondary School observed World Day Against Child Labour with a series of engaging and educational activities. The event aimed to raise awareness about the critical issue of child labour and inspire students to contribute towards its eradication. The school organized a variety of activities.
The day began with a poster making competition, where students from various grades showcased their creativity and understanding of the theme. The colorful and impactful posters highlighted the adverse effects of child labour and emphasized the importance of education for all children.
Following the poster making competition, a debate was held on the topic “Is enough being done to eradicate child labour?” Students were divided into teams, presenting arguments both for and against the motion. The debate was intense and thought-provoking, with participants showcasing their research and public speaking skills. The debate highlighted various perspectives on the issue, encouraging critical thinking and informed discussions among the students.
The event not only raised awareness but also inspired the students to take action against child labour in their communities. The school remains committed to continuing its efforts to educate and empower students to be advocates for change.
