Cleaning Drive at ISS School on Gandhi Jayanti – October 2, 2024
On October 2, 2024, ISS School organized a special Cleaning Drive as part of its observance of Gandhi Jayanti, celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The event aimed to promote the values of cleanliness and responsibility, which were strongly advocated by Mahatma Gandhi himself.
The cleaning drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and staff members, who collectively worked to clean the school premises and surrounding areas. Divided into groups, the students tackled different areas of the campus, including classrooms, playgrounds, and the garden. Equipped with cleaning supplies, gloves, and garbage bags, participants ensured that every corner was thoroughly cleaned.
This initiative was part of the school’s broader efforts to foster environmental awareness and inculcate a sense of civic responsibility in students. The event also aligned with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide cleanliness campaign inspired by Gandhi’s vision for a clean and hygienic India.
